Baby Things

We have been looking at and reading about so many baby things lately. From swaddling to newborn diapers.
Since our apartment is quite tiny we are wondering just what we need and what we can get away with not having. For example, not buying a changing table. We found fold-able ones but do we really need one? My sister in law mentioned that if I end up having a c-section using the bed or something of equal height may not help the healing process.

What about receiving blankets, burp cloths, etc.? How many of those should we have extra of and what can we get away with not having?
In terms of actual baby clothes we aren't worried.  It is the other stuff we are wondering about.
So far we will use Dr. Brown's bottles and we already have purchased a swing. The crib is not standard size, but we are renting that--who knew? We will need to purchase a crib mattress because Korea doesn't do that...so we will also purchase a waterproof mattress cover, breathable bumpers (if at all) and at least 4 mattress sheets. Thank goodness for Amazon.
We are also wondering about a registry. Should we even do one?  In Korea all of the baby things are quite expensive because grandparents and family members buy 'the best' for the new babies. We will buy most if not all baby accessories through Amazon as it is about 100% cheaper including shipping. Like we have said in previous posts having a baby is so cheap here. It is all the stuff that goes with them that is so expensive.
Luckily there are Facebook groups and Amazon that sell things at a good price.
Anyway...any ideas on what we can leave behind? And any ideas on what we must have?
