Clomid for Hire

Well, it is easy to get a prescription for Clomid in Korea.

I went to the doctor today and asked about Clomid.

I asked if I needed to have an examination first or if my husband needed to be checked out first.  The doctor said it is okay to have him checked out but we can try Clomid first.

He prescribed 100mg of Clomid. This is my first time using it and he said to take it day 3 to day 7 of my cycle then we can try from day 12-18.  Take a test on day 28 and go from there.

We shall see, but I am uneasy about taking 100mg the first time around.  From the research I have done usually 50mg is the recommended dose to begin with so I am having a bit of a difficulty with this amount.  I discussed it with the doctor and he said in Korea couples like to have babies quickly after getting married and that in Korea, 100mg is normal to begin with.  I won't be going over 3 cycles so I feel a tad bit better...  I don't take medicine normally unless I have to and this seems a lot to take at one time.  However, I will say that my doctor visit was less than $5 USD and the 10 pills of Clomid were less than $2 USD.  HAHAHA.

What is the cost of this in the USA?  Waaay more.

Oh, and my ultrasounds during this cycle will be less than $50 USD for 3 of them.  From what I have been reading about this procedure, it can be a lot pricier in the USA.

For any foreigner living in Korea planning on going this route, discuss this with your doctor in addition to researching this yourself.
