Trick or Treat: Halloween!

Jasper's first halloween.
It was quite an enjoyable event. Aunt Kate came down, of course, and even made Jasper's costume!! She is definitely the artist between the 2 of us.
Jasper was a minion, Joseph was Gru, and Kate was Gru-ette.  I was just mom.

We waited until Saturday to make Jasper's costume so Kate could participate. We had a nice breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. French toast casserole, eggs, and coffee for breakfast; tuna sammys for lunch, and chinese for dinner.
My university has a Halloween event each year for all of the foreign staff and their children. Out of all of the universities in Korea we have the largest number of foreign staff.
This year was our first time participating. It was fabulous. There were 16 "haunted spots" to travel to. The children were divided into older and younger groups. To begin, there was a pinata to break open: 1 for the older and 1 for the younger.
After the pinata candy was devoured we began our trek around the mountainous campus. In the dark. With trees and bushes and a slight breeze. The perfect night for shenanigans and treats.
A lot of the university students volunteered to decorate themselves as well as the various spots around campus and they did not disappoint. Zombies, chain saw dead people...it was great. No jumping moments for the younger ones but they did well regardless. Only a few tears for a few young ones.
About 50 kids in total which was the largest turnout yet apparently.
It was so much fun but cooooold. Joseph and I were so concerned about Jasper being warm we forgot about ourselves. Luckily walking around kept us warm. It was about 45 degrees during our time out.
Jasper did great. He hated his hat at first but he soon forgot about it.
We were lucky enough to get a jack o lantern from a pumpkin carving contest we had for the students. We got the winner .
Oh, the photo of Jasper crying is included because there is a good view of his first 2 teeth. Ha!
Happy Halloween!
