Well...my hair is really long now and Jasper has found it. It is in a ponytail so I can keep my long hair. When he is asleep I usually remember to take it out of the pony.
Car seats aren't a requirement here. Everytime we take a taxi, no car seat. Everytime we take a bus, no carseat. Every train, no car seat. He is strapped to either Joseph or myself every single time he is in a car or on a bus and whoever has him always sits in the backseat buckled in (another law that isnt in Korea) with the buckle nowhere near Jasper.
It isnt practical to have a car seat here. We do not have a car. If we had a car you bet we would have one. In getting in and out of taxis and on and off busses it just isnt feasible. We hardly ever see people using car seats here and the main reason, we think, is there isn't a law but the other is a car seat will sometimes run you about 300-500 dollars. Even the cheap ones. No kidding. Another reason could be that a lot of people do not own cars. We see people all the time who DO own cars with infants in the laps riding in the front seat and kids bouncing back and forth between the back and front of the car. Basically, it reminds us of the 50's when a lot of people didnt use or have car seats.
