Horray!
Jasper's first Christmas!
Jasper's first Christmas!
It was a lovely weekend.
Kate came up Christmas Eve day and we had a nice dinner of bacon wrapped asparagus, pasta/smoked salmon alfredo, steak, and for dessert we had movie snacks while we watched Die Hard and How the Grinch Stole Christmas--the original 30ish minute one.
Christmas Eve I made 2 breakfast casseroles to be ready to pop into the oven for 7am in time for guests and breakfast. Cream cheese french toast casserole (Pinterest that one it is amazing), and a hashbrown/mushroom/spinach/cheese and egg casserole. Yum!
Lee Ann and her husband Steven arrived about 730am and we all chatted and played with Jasper while breakfast coffee and food was finishing up. We all were so happy to have Joseph's delicious coffee! Tiffany was very sick and went to the hospital so she and Brian were unable to come too.
After breakfast I began on some more lunch food--had to do a bit at a time as our kitchen is not as big as I'd like.
Over the rest of the day from about 11-5 I made 6 roast chickens, shrimp scampi, cucumber/tomato/feta salad with EVOO and balsamic vinegar, chocolate snowcap cookies (google Chef John Chocolate snowcap cookies), and a few other things I dont remember...

We did gifts about lunchtime. So many for Jasper! We are so lucky to have wonderful family and friends who love us.
I shall let the photos speak for themselves. There are too many gifts to name specifically.

Jasper had a very long and stimulating day. He still had his naps but it wss still really stimulating for him. He did well but toward the end about bedtime he was done. He did not sleep well but he had a good day and he did well for him being so young.
